Green House was made for the garden at Hackney City Farm as part of Incubator that commissioned temporary artist interventions around this inner-city farm in 2002. The clear glass of a standard green house has been covered with a green filter, the trestle tables have been replaced with green cushioned benches. Viewers are encouraged to enter the Green House and rest a while. Their vision of the garden outside is tinted by the vibrant green. After spending a short period of time in the structure, the viewers' eyes adjust to the saturated colour so that when they leave the Green House the outside world briefly appears to be rose-tinted.
